VEX Photography Online Challenge Sponsored by VEX Robotics

The VEX Photography Online Challenge was introduced in 2015 and received 196 submissions. Since then, this challenge continues to receive the most Online Challenge submissions every season. In this challenge, students submit a photo that best represents what they love about being involved in robotics. The challenge is to upload just one photograph that tells a complete story, focusing on a favorite aspect of VEX IQ Challenge, VRC or VEX U. The chosen photo should convey an emotion, specifically the feeling you experience when you are doing what you love most.

Autonomous Coding Practice

Josiah and Wyatt were having trouble coding an autonomous program, but eventually they figured it out. My favorite part of robotics is coding because you can make the robot do things it can't normally do on its own.

Robotics is SnOw Fun!

My favorite part about VEX IQ robotics is that it’s fun! I get to hang out with my friends on my team and learn new skills. I also get to make new friends on other teams at competitions. It's fun designing, building, driving and programming my robot. Competitions are fun too! In this picture I tried to show some of the things that are fun about robotics…a new game every year, building robots, Worlds and hanging out with friends (like Sammy). Vex IQ Robotics is like building a snowman. It’s just FUN!

PLOWing through Programming

Our picture of 214A robot is sitting in front of our program. As a farmer I was taugh in robotics how to work on teamwork and time mangement. With this skill we also had some troubles through this process. We had to plow through the problems. This is how I came up with the name PLOWing through Programming.

Robotics and Happiness Go Together

This is Emma driving the robot and it flipped! Everyone laughed when it happened. The reason I picked this photo is because I like driving robots, and it shows happiness!

Practicing for "Squared Away"

In this photo, there are two people from two separate teams practicing for the "VEX IQ Challenge, Squared Away." Both students are using the robot, Clutch. They are using this robot because it’s the correct required measurements. It is tall enough to put the green cubes on the platforms for 20 points. Clutch can pick up the balls to place on top of the cube, and it can do it even better if you modify it! My favorite thing in VEX IQ is driving and practicing for the competition, so I will know what to expect when I get there.
