Robotics Education & Competition Foundation
Online Challenges

The Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation’s mission is to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by engaging students in hands-on, affordable, and sustainable robotics engineering programs. We see a future where all students design and innovate as part of a team, experience failure, persevere, and embrace STEM. These lifelong learners emerge confident in their ability to make the world a better place. Whether it's a competitive event, workshop, camp, or conference, we understand the unprecedented level of passion and commitment it takes to create, maintain, and execute such programs. The Robotics Education and Competition Foundation is committed to promoting technology and related student and professional advancement so that one day these programs become accessible to all students and all schools in all communities.  Our goal with the Online Challenge Program is to provide additional opportunities to our students utilizing service, solutions, and technology which will allow individuals to flourish in a way that fosters the technical and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in the 21st Century.

Students from 30,000 teams around the world are encouraged to learn or test new skills in a fun and engaging way through STEM-based challenges, submitted online. The demand for virtual learning opportunities has increased due to recent events and we are expanding Online Challenges to give more students opportunities to stay engaged. Challenges could include website design, CAD design, photography, community involvement, video production, workforce development, programming, and much more.
