Robotics Team Website Challenge Sponsored by Dell

The Robotics Team Website Challenge sponsored by Dell is a challenge asking you to develop a website that promotes your entire robotics program. This may include:

  • Your VEX IQ Challenge, VEX Robotics Competition, or VEX U team(s),
  • Other robotics programs in which you participate,
  • Outreach/mentoring activities,
  • Your Past/Present/Future (what you have done, who you are, where you are, and what you plan to do in the future),
  • And how to join.

In short, build a website that tells the world how great is youth robotics and how special is your program. You are encouraged to promote all the STEM activities in which your robotics program participates (VRC, BEST, Botball, FIRST, TSA, PLTW, SKILLS USA, SKILLS Canada, underwater robotics, workshops, camps, math competitions, bridge building, solar-powered cars, etc.)

Bonus points provided for website that provides recognition for sponsors, teachers, mentors, and schools.

La Cueva VEX Robotics Website

lacuevarobotics

The Team

Our team is centered around the idea of learning and developing, with wining as an added bonus. We are not your average VEX Team. To us, it is about learning--not competition. At La Cueva, all of our teams work together. Each robot is everyone's robot, and we help each other solve problems. We feel as if the learning aspect of VEX is the most important, and the winning is just an extra part of that.

The Website

One of our team members, Zayne Faulhaber, hand-coded this website to demonstrate that our team values coding the same as we do...

A 100% LanceBotics 200 Website

sam200

For the past three years, I have been in charge of designing and managing content for the LanceBotics website. This year being my last on the team as a senior in high school, I decided to change things up, with a completely new design and a whole lot more content to share our stories.

My plan was to make a website that looked like no other. I thought to myself, "What if I used 100% of my brain?" Which, although it is a meme, it made me realise that many websites didn't use all the space on screens for content, and there was extra space...
