VEX Photography Online Challenge Sponsored by VEX Robotics
The VEX Photography Online Challenge was introduced in 2015 and received 196 submissions. Since then, this challenge continues to receive the most Online Challenge submissions every season. In this challenge, students submit a photo that best represents what they love about being involved in robotics. The challenge is to upload just one photograph that tells a complete story, focusing on a favorite aspect of VEX IQ Challenge, VRC or VEX U. The chosen photo should convey an emotion, specifically the feeling you experience when you are doing what you love most.

presented by the Legacy
This photograph with these stunning trophies that our leaders have won, is not a dream for us as a team it’s the reality. Representing that us as a team have the duty to take our school to victory! If the past has done it now we have to do the same thing. They worked hard, stressed, angry & not taking a blink. All of that paid off look at them leading the path of success. Now 1073D we have to do the same thing, it’s all on our hands to do the legacy dreams.
“If not us, who? If not now, when?

A Portrait Of A Young Roboticist
"A Portrait Of A Young Roboticist" is photograph of our teammate Isabelle. When we shoot this photograph Isabelle was so focused on working on the robot that she did not even notice we were taking it. The frame of the photograph is an old base of an earlier model of our robot. This symbolizes the ever-changing innovation of robots and also the beauty of (wo)man and man-made creations.
As a Team, Club, and Community
As a TEAM, they represent themselves. As a CLUB, they represent their teams. As a COMMUNITY, we represent each other!
Engineering for Pizza Rolls
How many engineers does it take to heat up pizza rolls?
1965T Stevenson High School Vex Robotics Photo
Stevenson High School's Vex Robotics Club Skyrise and the club has been incredibly successful with many awards and world championships! However, our club's main focuses are hard work, respect, and friendliness, which are all demonstrated throughout our website. Thanks!
Enjoy the photo, which truly demonstrates our hard work and passion for robotics!
We Fell Into The Ring Of Robotics!!
After many years of being a part of Vext IQ roboitics we have found that to be productive builders it is very important to keep all our parts organized. We have several tool boxes with individual compartments that we can arrange in a circle around us for easy access to the parts we need! This allows us to build robots more efficiently with less mess all over the living room! The only challenge we have is how to keep the cat from lying on the pieces.
A Representation of Perfection
The picture depicts the attempt at a perfect photo of a piece of work which we created. On this specific robot significant dedication, time, and persistence came along with it thus producing a masterpiece.
Fields of Metal
The picture is of a wall of metal and aluminum pieces, waiting for their next use in the vast variety of intricate designs that can be created with the addition of a single creative mind.
The Final Product
after many MISTAKES this is the final product of our lovely robot design
VEX Robotics Challenge
I love being involved in Robotics because of the people I work with everyday and being able to work with them everyday. Everyday when we work I love that we can have fun while we're working no matter what. In the picture we are both working hard and having fun together.
The base has to be fixed, when the robot was...
There was 8 screws left to put into the robot, but we found that we messed up on the base for the second time. At that instance one of our team members almost threw the robot.
Good times in Robotics
Photo of my friends enjoying Robotics and coming up great designs.
Almost done
Nearly complete with our teams masterpiece last piece is to do the wheels which we have done 5 seperate times but thats not the point the point is weve been working are butts off!!
The best robot rises
This Robot has undergone a lot of emotions. I have gotten frustrated during the building process but the result shows that it was worth it.
When dabbing fun and gearing down come together
One of the most important things in robotics is having fun and enjoying yourself. This picture was not on purpose, I was trying to take a picture for the engineering notebook of some changes we had just made. I never knew my teammates where dabbing in the background, but after I noticed it and printed the picture, it made everybody laugh. Laughing is a normal everyday thing during our practices.
This picture shows many emotions, that is why we decided to enter this into the online challenge. Nothing is perfect, and having a good time when problem solving is helpful!
Girl Powered Edition
This picture represents what it is like to be a Girl Powered team in a class full of boys, as well as a school that looks down on the robotics class as "nerds".
Our first VEX competition
This picture shows how exciting and invigorating a first competition can be for any team.
Systematic diagnostics
There are times when it is necessary to breakdown your robot into its subsystems to be able to inspect and fix individual aspects of each system instead of trying to do it as a whole.
Making New Friends
I joined robotics because I was lonely and wanted new friends. Now, I have made many friends.I joined robotics because I was lonely and wanted new friends. Now, I have made many friends. (Submitted by Alex)
Life Skills
I learned important life skills, like teamwork and problem solving, that will help me in the future. (Submitted by Landon)
Power in Numbers
Robotics is all about bonding with your team.
Competing and working together makes us gleam.
Building is always important.
We want to win a new adornment.
Even though there may be arguments at times,
we’re still each other’s partners in crimes.
Through our constant toil we made it to...
How Can We Use Problem Solving in Vex?
I have done Vex for quite some time and when I first started out, it took me a while to realize a simple fact. To be successful in Vex, you need to problem solve! You won't achieve any goals in Vex if you're not willing to solve problems. Sometimes, all you need to do is step back and take a breather before looking at your project again. It can open a world of possibilities that can allow you to see what you're doing wrong and how you can fix that. My photo shows that sometimes in Vex, things don't always go away and that's okay; the main thing is that you try to do...
The Creativity Project
I love getting to create something physical with my teammates that I can be proud of. (Submitted by Addison)
