This picture grasps a perfect example of an unconventional method of attachment. My favorite thing about robotics is the mindset of improvement. Improving yourself as well as the robot. Sometimes, to improve the robot it requires an unconventional method. To explain the photo, we were previously using plates to attach our intake to the rest of the robot. The plates bent easily so we thought unconventionally to create a sturdier method. We knew that a ¼” shaft could not twist or bend, so we decided to drill screw holes through it and attach it. This unconventional method saved the day!
