Lillian's RAD Swarm Follow
Introduction Hello, my name is Lillian and I am from Michigan. For my project, I am using a drone swarm which is a bunch of drones programmed together. The drones will be playing follow-the-leader. There are 3 drones and they will each fly across the room, then flip, then fly down and land. The programming software that I will be using is Google Workbench. The reasons I chose this software were because it allows me to program multiple drones and because it is good for beginners. I am interested in this project because I have never programmed a drone before and I thought that it would be fun to do. The Navy Blue Angels are my inspiration for this project because they fly over where I live every other year and watching them fly in a formation made me wonder if I could do that with drones. The prizes also seemed really nice! Challenges The challenges that I faced during this project are: Google Workbench didn’t allow me to program multiple drones to do the same thing at once The fan in my house affected the drone's flights I had to change my original idea because Google Workbench couldn’t do exactly what I wanted to do My dogs really liked the drones and wanted to eat them I had to learn how to use Google Workbench Google Workbench needs to approve my code for public viewing!
