Hello Everyone! We are team 45009B - The Beautiful Blossoms! Many people are unable to drive for various reasons, including medical conditions and physical conditions. Many sensors are being used in cars to improve safety. Color sensors can detect the color of an object and follow colored lines. A color sensor was attached to a robot and programmed to follow red, green, and blue lines. The distance traveled by the robot was measured when the colored tapes were 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% covered by brown pieces of paper (representing dirt and trash that are found on the road). The sensor detected the red tape when more of the tape was covered compared with the green and blue tapes.
