The reason I created the VEX IQ Enhanced Controller was to give drivers, programmers, and builders a better chance to do more than the current controller. The new enhanced controller will provide a mini screen to program the robots and provide bigger triggers and bumpers to make the trigger adapt. For example, if you press the trigger lightly then it will make smaller amounts of movement to the arm or wheels and if you hold down the trigger then the arm or wheels will go at the fastest speed possible. The enhanced controller would be used to program without a laptop in hand and could be used for various robots and would add some features that are not included with the current VEX IQ controller such as a more reactive radio with faster response time, lightweight joysticks that provide easier movement and better joysticks, and buttons that can be easily released when pressing them down. The change of the joysticks will be alike to the console controllers that when pressed they can be a control for different functions of the robot. The buttons will be less sticky and easier to access for thumbs of both bigger and smaller hands. At last, the radio will have a 5 GHz instead of 2.4 GHz to receive quicker signals and faster response to the robot. I used Tinkercad 3D design to create this 3D Model of the next new VEX IQ Enhanced Controller. During this project, I learned how to design 3D models using Tinkercad and with both a computer and laptop. I also learned that even when things get hard you have to persevere and keep going. I hit many ups and downs while doing this model but I just had to keep going and finish it with good quality. I was satisfied with Tinkercad and they have recent updates with amazing features. I look forward to using this in the future for anything that involves STEM or maybe even in my career someday. This software could help us with our competitive robotics team in numerous ways such as for robot designs, newer and improved ideas, and to show people still learning about robotics this amazing software that could help them succeed in the future. If I decide to be a programmer/builder or any other career path in STEM I plan on using Tinkercad for various reasons when making or building designs. I would love a job that incorporates 3D printmaking. I have many people throughout robotics classes coming to me for help on Tinkercad and ideas they have. I enjoy using Tinkercad and I hope I will be able to use it in a job in the future. Thank you Tinkercad.
