Our biomimicry project is all about stopping climate change and how we could make a difference in using solar energy. Our invention is called the Solar Crop Blanket which provides protection to crops while collecting energy from the sun. We were inspired by the butterfly and how it’s unique wings can reflect light to create heat. This crop blanket can reduce poverty and crop failure and may also be a stepping stone to reach the goal of stopping climate change.
