V5 motors are at the core of most mechanical subsystems on a vex robot. In the event of an unexpected failure, or during robot development it is important that the motors can be removed quickly and easily, without significant disassembly of the main robot structure. Existing quick-change solutions involving cable ties or rubber bands were inadequate for our needs, so we set out to design our own implementation of a robust quick-change motor mounting system.
