Omnidirectional gears are gears that operate at any angle between 90 and 180 degrees, as opposed to the standard gear which can only work when directly beside another gear. We had never seen a mechanism similar to this, so could not reference anything to help us design and come up with a solution to the constant problems we encountered. In the end, we finally invented a gear design that allowed them to smoothly rotate together at any angle, as well as a case for attachment to the robot.
