In our video is a solution we created to help combat climate change caused by the excessive use of fossil fuels. We researched many different plants and organisms to find the natural spiral pattern (Fibonacci and Fermat's Spirals) found in many flowers (ie. sunflowers, daisies, etc). Then, we used these patterns to design a new form of solar power plant that increases the efficiency of solar power and consequently reduces the need for fossil fuels.

Our team (Mechanical Sea Serpents) is introducing a new and innovative way to position solar power plants in order to maximize energy efficiency. This design is based off of the naturally-occurring spiral pattern found in the disc florets of flowers like daisies, sunflowers, and dahlias.
