In this project, our team 393Y collaborated and thought of ways to solve the problem of droughts in California. To successfully find the solution we used the EDP to collect our information. Our research found 5 possible solutions: desalination, cloud seeding, snow-melt runoff, groundwater, and taking advantage of the weather. In conclusion, we created a model that represents our way of solving the problem. It contains a barrel connected to water sprouts because we can harvest the rainwater and use it in agriculture and other water-related activities. Altogether, this was our submission for the 2024 STEM research challenge. Our team can make a change!
