Our machine is a flywheel-based device. Its key feature is the combination of a flywheel and a pneumatic system. For the flywheel, we use a 25:1 gear ratio, which enables highly efficient scoring. We also use a touch LED to detect and display the flywheel’s speed, making our pitching more stable. The pneumatic system stores and pumps air into the cylinder, allowing the cylinder to control the pitch angle (up and down) and the pitching timing. When assembling the gears, be sure to add some lubricant otherwise, friction can produce powder and dust that affects the machine’s operation. Even with lubricant or oil in place, some grinding may still occur. To mitigate this, you can apply a small amount of oil during practice. However, you need to make sure to wipe it off before a match to avoid breaking the rules. Besides the grinding issue, parts of the machine may become reamed out over time due to the metal shafts continuously rubbing against them. We recommend replacing these parts once a month. Additionally, because the pneumatic system and the constant-pressure battery have different voltages, a lithium battery must be used.
