VEX Robotics Team Promotional Video

Registered VEX Robotics Competition teams can submit a video to be judged for the 2009 VEX Robotics Competition World Championship Promote Award.

 

Prizes

  • 1st: 2009 VEX Robotics Competition Promote Award, 1 VEX Robotics Classroom Lab Kit, Automatic Team Qualification for the 2010 VRC World Championship
  • 2nd: 1 VEX Dual Control Starter Bundle
  • 3rd: 1 VEX Protobot Robot Kit

Requirements

To be considered for the Promote Award, submitted videos should do at least one or any combination from the following list:

  • Show and celebrate the team experience throughout the current or past VEX Robotics Competition season, including scenes from the design, build and/or competition phases of the program.
  • Promote how the VEX Robotics Competition makes an impact on students, in the local community or schools participating in the program
  • Promote what students learn through their experience in the VEX Robotics Competition
  • Create an entertaining advertisement or short movie highlighting VEX Robots
Judging Submitted videos will be showcased on the RobotEvents.com Online Challenge website and will be scored by the viewing community. The community voting will determine 8 of the 10 finalists to be judged for the Promote Award. 2 additional submissions chosen by the VEX Advisory Councils and the challenge partners will complete the group of 10 finalists that move on to the last round of judging. The 10 finalist videos will be scored with a weighted system including the community voting scores, scores given by the VEX Robotics Advisory Councils and scores given by representatives from the presenting sponsors of the VEX Robotics Competition World Championship. The combined scores of the will determine the 2009 Promote Award winner.
