Professionals and students both use CAD to design everything from mechanical components to complex systems to competition robots. The VEX design system is designed using CAD, and students design their robots using CAD models of VEX parts.

After many issues with the current encoders I have decided to improve them to everyone's benefit. The original Quad-encoders were bulky, but reliable, however often got in the way of some of our designs. The Integrated Motor Encoders were unreliable and difficult to debug. High Strength Upgrade

We have redesigned a large portion of the VEX EDR parts library to fit the new high strength shafts. This includes a redesign of the 393 motor to accommodate the shaft, and an alternative modified shaft joiner, making the new high strength shafts compatible with existing 393 motors.

The newly released vex high strength axle is very good for high torque sutuations. One minor yet extreme flaw is that the high strength axle does not fit into the vex sensors. The reason we require to have a sensor on a high strength axle is that we must record/sense the rotations or angle of the axle.
