The Math Behind Joystick Programming

With so many template files and code snippets floating around on the internet, it's not too hard to find yourself using code that you don't really understand. This often happens with joystick control code. In this video, we explain what underlies the code that maps joystick positions to wheel movements in two different kinds of drive systems - a simple single joystick control system, and a holonomic/mecanum drive. By doing so, we hope to impart a general understanding of the concepts behind this element of programming that you can extend to more complicated kinds of drive systems.
