VEX IQ Team 359a believes that robotics is formed around three words: teamwork, commitment, and responsibility. As a team we have worked and overcome many obstacles together. Our team has reached out to our community. For instance we went to Waialua Elementary School to educate 4th, 5th, and 6th graders about the robotics program. We also volunteered to help out and get a glimpse of what our future in VEX ROBOTICS may be like at one of the VEX VRC competitions hosted at our school. In robotics there are many positions. For example there are builders that construct, drivers that compete at competitions, documenters who are in charge of our team binder, photographers, researchers that conduct experiments for our research project, and programmers that make the robot work during autonomous mode. Being in the robotics program you learn to be responsible. You become role models to others and spread the word about not only your school but also the robotics program you are in. Another thing you learn is to manage resources like time, materials, and budget. This video shows the impact our team has on our school and/or community, promoting STEM, our team, and the VEX IQ Challenge. We added closed captioning so that hearing impaired are able to enjoy our video's message.
