5. Nyloc Standoff

This basic part would have the same structural advantages as a regular standoff but with locking end this part could easily be interchangeable with current vex standoffs and would offer a wider veriety of use for this sort of component. This new standoff could come in your same basic lengths including your .5'',1'',1.5'',2'',2.5'',3'',4'',5'', and 6'' measurments. One could also offer a 9" and a 12" standoff in this form for another part for students to utilize. This standoff would be the same width as the normal ones but have a tapered nyloc nut on the end with that component incorerated with the design of the part. This part would be very helpful for vex students because the regular standoffs tend to loosen over time and need to be regularly tightened.
