5. Involving the community with mentors

One of the greatest additions to our team this year has been community mentors. We have had 2 parent volunteers that are involved in various areas of mechanics / construction / engineering come in and guide us as we plan, build, and program our robot. Through these mentors, we have gained a more diverse knowledge base and learned so much. They have helped us face many challenges from the planning through the testing and competing. We are so appreciative to our community mentors.
