VEX Robotics Photography Challenge

Showcase youth using VEX to explore STEM. Compose a photograph that features one or more students working on a robot, testing, planning or celebrating your VEX team’s accomplishments. Use photography to tell the judges something about your own story of involvement on a competition team, in a classroom, or as a hobbyist working with VEX.

This photo was captured at this years first VEX competition which was a sucess and a great time for everyone on the team. The whole 2886A team is in this photo in our matching uniforms. People in this photo; Keely Slade, Mathew Vuleta, Shawn Stewinman, Sean Hoernke, and James England(me). The competition took place on a cold December 3rd day. Tyler, our driver/builder, practicing driving between tournament rounds. Taken just after Ashya, the team leader, had finished doing upkeep on the robot. We had just witnessed a bot losing parts on the field, and were losing most of our games. Despite that, we made sure to have fun and keep learning from our experiences here.

Team 3050A relishes in the victory of receiving the coveted Excellence Award. Despite losing in the semi-finals, this award proves that drudgery pays off. The many hours spent refining the design and build of the robot resulted in this awesome award. The team shows excitement towards preparing for another tournament.
