Overtightened or skipping chain is a common pitfall in competitive robotics. Due to either pressure on shafts or unnecessary slack, it can cause a myriad of issues including reduced speed and efficency, high current draw, skipping, sensor data loss, shock loading, and bent shafts among other things. Well tesioned chain is a foundation that will set any robot on its way to success.
