VHS Robotics' mission is to engage students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education by applying the excitement and motivation associated with robotic competitions. VHS Robotics offers two exciting programs, VEX EDR and VEX IQ​. The VHS Robotics program is designed to educate students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).  The goals of the program​ are to have students gain a working knowledge of: Robotics engineering concepts, including drivetrains, lifting mechanisms, sensors and gear ratios the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, OneNote and Publisher 3D CAD software, especially Autodesk Inventor Professional Robotics programming, including Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control Website design Project Management, including SCRUM 3D animation, modeling and simulation software, especially Autodesk Maya ​Video and picture editing Our goal is to offer badges for incremental levels of learning with an ultimate goal of helping students earn business recognized certifications that they can put on their resumes. Certifications currently being considered, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Specialist certifications ​Office 365 ​Autodesk Inventor® Certified User Autodesk Maya® Certified User Advanced RobotC Programming Certification REC Foundation Pre-Engineering Certification REC Robotics Industry Certification​
