The Binding Screw The thin screw’s purpose is to take up less space. Sometime the nut makes it hard for you to screw a screw. The binding screw will make it easier for you to screw in areas where you can’t put in a wrench to hold the nut. I created this piece because my team experiences this problem all the time, especially when working in between the wheels. The screw will come with a part to screw it in. This part will work just like the shaft bushing from Vex IQ, but with a screw. This part takes up less space than a nut and it also makes it easier to put it in and take it out, all you have to do is put your finger on it to hold it and the rubber type texture will make it easier to grip. My team and I used Tinker CAD to design the binding screw. We tested all the programs and we thought that Tinker CAD was the best for us. We followed tutorials and looked at many 3d designing videos on Tinker CAD. The version is “Tinker cad 3.7 “. I didn’t know much about 3D designing, but this project absolutely got me started on how to do 3D designs. I will definitely use this designing software in the future for designing my robot in 3D form to try to win states. There is also a chance I could use 3D software as a future job since I now know how to use 3D designing programs which could help in making products, pieces for companies, Vex for example.
