5'' Omnidirectional Wheel

Introduction In the game of this season (In The Zone) our robot has the necessity of crossing the bar to arrive to the 20 points zone. Therefore, we opt for front wheels with a bigger diameter, for decreasing the difficulty so the robot would cross with less hardness for the autonomous and driver skills matches. Solution Also, for improving the efficiency of the robot gyres we conclude that the best option were 5’’ omnidirectional wheels. We base from the 4’’ omnidirectional wheels; The size, the shape of the rollers and the distinctive pattern of it. To clarify this piece we did is not a scale modification. All our piece is made sketch by sketch. The only thing different is the size of the wheel and the number of rollers.  Software Autodesk Inventor Professional 2017 was used to design and render the wheel. Making this piece gave me a lot of skill in the use of Inventor. I learned a lot about sketches, shapes, patterns, extrusions, etc. I am very grateful to Autodesk for giving me the opportunity to learn their software for free, as it is serving me well for my university education.
