Make It Real CAD Engineering Challenge

With the addition of high strength shafts and many numerous other equipment, synchronization between old and new parts has sometimes been tedious. One such problem that my team had explored was the cross usage of high strength shafts and regular shafts for normal sensors such as optical shaft encoders. This new part called the "Shifter" would help create a platform in which utilization of a highstrength shaft in a gear could also be exploited in order to connect to a optical shaft encoder. We utilized Autodesk Fusion 360 (v2.0.3800) in order to create the part, at first we had very little idea of how to operate the application, however the turorial and the step by step process of how to use the different tools greatly amplified our understanding on how to create an envisioned product. We learned that with the upcoming advances in technology creatively finding solutions to problems are becoming easier to do and utilizing things such as 3d software enables students And professionals to have a canvas to paint on. In the future 3d software will almost definitely be used in our team, not only as a way for online challenges, but also to promote a new way of designing and promoting ideas within our team. This software would help competitive teams like ours think outside the box and help make our ideas come to fruit via being able to build certain parts that we need or design brand new parts that can change a meta.
