VEX Photography Online Challenge
Last season marked the tenth anniversary of the VEX Robotics World Championship, and after so many years of experience, we would love to see exactly what it is that you truly love about the program. Submit a photo that best represents what you love about being involved in robotics. Use photography to tell a complete story with one photograph, focusing on your favorite aspect of VIQC, VRC or VEX U. Compose a photo that conveys an emotion, specifically the feeling you experience when you are doing what you love most.
I like this photo because everyone has their hands on it working on the H-drive for our competition robot. Everyone brings their ideas to the table. Our combined ideas makes for one fantastic robot. The smiles on their faces shows the excitement for our first competition. GO TEAM!!
These Middle Eastern VEX participants built a robot that handed out balls to other competitors. In a time when the world seems to be up against each other, I found the atmosphere of VEX Worlds to be a unifying force of competition, ingenuity and most importantly, kindness.

Sparky Steel is a photo of my teammate cuting off part of a axle that went too far out. When we watched him cut it we wore Safety Glasses.I choose this photo because it highlights what I like about VEX Teamwork and fun things you have to work for. Also It is a beautiful photo to me because I like the sparks flying against the metal.
When someone asks you to remove a screw it is usually easy; but what happens when you need to remove a motor’s screw during a National Competition, being nervous and excited at the same time and knowing that the small details can make the difference? The things can get a little bit more complex.
It is the feeling of making everything perfect but at the same time, you know that nothing is perfect but you did your biggest effort and that is what really matters. Our goal is not only to win a competition or a trophey, because we are...
What I like best about robotics is having fun with my friends. We can be SERIOUS when we need to be, but we also know how to have fun and be GOOFY! This picture was taken last February at the State Championship of Michigan at the end of the competition. We didn't win, but we still had fun. We didn't know it yet, but we ended up qualifying for Worlds on our skills score. This picture shows how much fun we have together and how much we enjoy doing robotics.
This photo depics North Point High School's all-girls VEX team. This was a snapshot of our joy and ecstatic faces, right after our first competition. We were so excited because we worked well together, which allowed for us to compete efficiently; and we ranked well in the process. The outcome of the scores didn't matter to us, we only focused on making a name for ourselves, and proving to others that all-girls teams could compete just as well as any other team there.
This picture displays the hard work and dedication we have to VEX, and to each other. We work together like two gears on our robot. Sometimes, when things get a little bumpy, we need to remind ourselves that we are doing our best, and that we are all putting 110% effort into the challenge. We are girls, and we are in this to win it. We are in the zone, and nothing can stop us now!
Our girls support each other, and the other teams from our school. It's important to try your best and work hard during matches at these competitions, but it is equally important to show good sportsmanship. We support our fellow classmates and alliance members from other schools, but we also commend other teams for their efforts. VEX is not just a club, but a community; and in a community, it's important to have each others' backs.
Practice is everything in VEX. Our girls-team is no exception. We utilize every second of our meetings or break times during competitions. We are concentrated in this picture, working out bugs and giving our drivers a chance to practice before our first match. The nervousness was thick, but our excitement prevailed as we won our first match. This moment was terrifying; but we were confident with our fellow females by our side.
We are a sisterhood of strong, collaborative, women; taking obstacles in stride and never backing down. I love the connection between each of my team mates, and our shared love and dedication to VEX. The competitions are stressful, but we still have the same love and appreciation for each other. We are truly a team; even more than a team, actually. We are a sisterhood.
