VEX Photography Online Challenge
Last season marked the tenth anniversary of the VEX Robotics World Championship, and after so many years of experience, we would love to see exactly what it is that you truly love about the program. Submit a photo that best represents what you love about being involved in robotics. Use photography to tell a complete story with one photograph, focusing on your favorite aspect of VIQC, VRC or VEX U. Compose a photo that conveys an emotion, specifically the feeling you experience when you are doing what you love most.
This picture captures how students need determination and perserverance to compete in the VEX IQ robotics competitions. The competitions are serious and challenging to me and my team mates, the STEM Squad. It is such a blast to compete and showing off our skills, especially when trying to sweep.
Robotics are everywhere! They are used in every industry from manufacturing to education.
By learning VEX Robotics, you can meet new friends, learn the engineering process. Most of all you make a difference and change the world!
TEAM Virus 3547M - "Together Everyone Achieves More"
Teamwork is one of the hardest skills involved in being in a robotics team and, it is extremely hard to stay calm in the heat of the tournament. In this picture, the robot has just broken down right before a match and although everyone is nervous, they are able to keep calm and get their work done to win the tournament!
VEX has helped me to find my passion, my purpose and my full expression and the results of that keep surprising me day after day. I am very gateful for finding this amazing community. I never realized all the benefits from joining VEX. One very powerful moment for me was realizing that it was helping me be closer with my mother. There is a proud smile on her face.
It is not all about the person in Robotics, but the team. While large emphasis is put onto thinking and mental agility, the team is always there for one. Robotics focuses a lot about the individual or the robot, but the true purpose of participation is a factor often overlooked, the team. It overshadows every aspect of robotics and experiences everything together.
Robotics requires concentration and diagramming, precision and accuracy. Sometimes we get really involved and lose ourselves. One team member described it as "transcendence." Whatever we do during robotics whether it be programming or social media, we all share a passion and love, a deeper meaning with robotics.
