Teams are red and blue There is an object behind each starter position, the “flag” (in the corner) Moving the opponent’s “flag” to the center of the arena (hill) gives you 5 points for every 5 seconds the flag is there Prevent the other team from putting your “flag” on the “hill” 15 second autonomous period, 1 minute 45 second driver control period SCRIPT Welcome to the greatest 2 minutes in robotics the 2018 VEX Robotics Competition: POINT SEIGE The object of the game is to get more points than the opposing team There will be a 15 second autonomous period, where the team must program the robot beforehand And a 1 minute, 45 second driver control period You can score points by moving the opponent’s flag to the center of the arena Every 5 seconds their flag is in the center, five points are rewarded Every time you move your flag back to its original position, five points are rewarded If you park your robot correctly at the end of the driver control period you will get an additional 2 points If you shutout the other team (that means not letting them score a single point) you will get a 5 point bonus The team with the most points at the end of the autonomous period will get a 10 point bonus Official rules and instructions only exist in this video That concludes the 2018 VEX Robotics Competition: POINT SEIGE
