Our team is mostly girls. Also all the girls in our class period, are in my group. Even the boys in the group agree that it’s good to have diversity in each team. When I hear the phrase “girl power” the power of females standing together, come to my mind. I think of this because I like the idea of women empowering each other. Also I like the idea of women helping each other and supporting each other. When girls help each other there is nothing that they can’t do.   Sometimes there are obstacles that get in the way, but you can always work around them. Every team member has tried every role in the process of having a robot. This includes everything from designing, to building, to researching, programming, and planning. I think it is good that we all try to contribute in each role. I think it’s good because we all can get an understanding of each role. Also we can figure out who is best at each role and decide who should be the main person to take it. I think it’s good to have diversity in the group, because sometimes girls can be better than the guys at some things and the guys can be better at another thing. From some experience I’ve noticed that 2 of the girls on the team including me usually are better at the planning, research, and drawing. Most of the guys like to do the building and programming. The other 2 girls also prefer building and programming. On the other hand, one of the guys is best at designing the robot. I believe that the diversity of the team can change the robots design, our team chemistry, and even the success or ability to succeed. I believe this because in our group the mix of boys and girls helps improve the overall chemistry. This is true because most of us prefer working with boys and girls, not just our own gender. It also can change the robot design because our group is large so the more brains the better. I believe since everyone’s brain is differently that it affects our group positively because, we have more ideas from everyone’s head. I think that male and female brains most likely will have different ways of thinking of how the robot could be. This will improve how much we succeed because of all the ideas. Many people have inspired us to work hard in our group which includes our robotics teacher Ms. Rengifo. She inspires us by helping us understand the foundation of a good and successful robot. In conclusion Girl Power affects our group very positively. Also that our team is big so we have a lot of collaboration, and many thoughts. The way of having us girls come together to make the team even better is amazing. It shows how much girls and women can really do If they stand together and help each other out.
