Vex Robotics World Championship 2018. Behind the scenes of a successful robotics team is dedication, devotion, hard work, teamwork, perserverence, change, and collaboration, among many other things. This picture tells the story of a hard fought battle to the top. The 2018 World Championship experience was not all fun and games; it included many long nights, some match losses, and problem-solving. We began to become discouraged but encouraged each other to keep striving for our goals. This picture expresses the immense happiness of reaching the division finals, the furthest an Ohio team has ever reached at the World Championship. But what is often missed is our real achievement: the friendship created with a team from Shanghai, the journey we had to get there, and the motivation it gave us to continue striving for bigger goals. There are thousands of teams, thousands of robots, one world championship event and one vex. The true magic of robotics is not found in the awards, amount of wins, or skills score, but the friendship created through a single alliance.
