The other kids played soccer and hockey. I made robots. I did not grow up buying cleats and mouth guards. I bought pistons and motors. I grew up with the sound of that do-do-do-dodo-dooo marking the beginning of every match. I grew up with the passion of innovation. I grew up with like-minded robotics nerds cheering for that last second climb. I didn’t grow up on the bench. No. I was in the game. I grew up with much more than a sport. I grew up with an experience or unforgettable experience. I grew up with STEM.
