About HSC Robotics

We currently have two teams under the category of Team 472, Team 472A and Team 472B. Team 472A is our senior, most competitive VEX team, and is comprised only of experienced members. Team 472B is our junior, developmental VEX team where the primary goal is to gain experience and learn about VEX and STEM in general. Regardless of what team you are on, everyone is encouraged to participate in the design process and contribute their ideas for both teams.

This was last season when we were attaching our reverse 4-bar lift to our chassis, and we needed the robot to stay upright.  We used the frame of a camping cot to hold the robot above us while we worked, which provided a safer and easier method that having a teamate hold up the robot.

Helping Hands

Gmeyer

My name is Ty. In this photo I am helping an alliance team repair their robot in the cueing area.

It is always exciting to meet our alliances and see their robot design and plan our strategy. Our alliances are a very important part of our tournament experience. Something scary has happened at EVERY tournament – our alliance’s robot has a major breakdown just minutes before our match. We’ve been able to supply parts and electronics, give suggestions, and help repair disabled robots. It has been fun to help other teams when they needed it most.

In Robotics, Together

Abricote

Right there, that's the moment our team loves the most, sharing these big emotions all together because that's what makes us strong and connected and gives us the power we need to do good robotics.

This picture was taken while trying to do a team picture for our Notebook.

"We're in this together
Hear our hearts beat together
We stand strong together
We're in this forever....

...There's a playing field
It's full of winners, we're breaking new ground" (This One's For You, David...

Winners at Heart

Mikaela

I chose this picture because it very much demonstrates the thing I love most about robotics; the competition and friendship. I picked this title because of the amazing things we've learned and experienced because of robotics, and the freindships we've made in the process. We all agree that it doesn't matter whether we win or lose, because we are winners at heart. - Mikaela N. of 5509G
