With this new part we will be able to change out our batteries much easier than with the vex battery clips. We always struggle to change out our batteries because we had to place it in a tight space because of our robots design. This design includes a cover that will allow he more narrow part of the battery to fit under in order for it to be secured and a lip around the edge that it shallow enough that the battery can be placed flat on it and be plugged in. This increased my knowledge in how to use Autodesk Inventor which will help me design products in my future career as a petroleum engineer.
