Team 8440A's Robot!

We created our robot on CAD because we thought it would be more of a challenge that many teams do not do. We really wanted our team to be unique to other teams and stand out to judges at competitions and parents at meetings. We would use this robot in CAD to show off to judges and give an example of how our robot works to others. We used Autodesk Inventor Professional 2018 by constraining, flushing, mating, and connecting different parts and pieces to other parts to clearly create a unique and precise image of our real-life bot! We learned a LOT from this project! We learned patience, as it took lots of time to research how to build this; we also learned that anything is possible, and that even 6th grade students can take on the most complex of things! This online robot will really help us explain our accomplishments to judges!

This is a video of Team 8440A's chassis on CAD! We have had to build our chassis on Autodesk Inventor 2 full times The first time, our team used the wrong C-Channel, so we unfortunately could not connect any bearings, axles, etc. in the right places. We knew we needed to redo our chassis. So we downloaded new C-Channels off of the VEX Website, and we took exact measurments of how far apart things were, how many holes were in-between a piece and another piece, and got the exact pieces and put them exactly where they were on our real model.
