7842 Navigators We are proud to present the official website for the 7842 Navigators. Designed, built, written and hosted by our students, this website aims to share to the community who we are and what we do. Bringing students together from across many different schools within our communities, we compete together as friends to strive for greater achievements and to assist the community and new members in their understanding of STEM. Tutorials With the release of the new V5 system, many people have had to learn a new programming language to program their robots. This process of reading official documentation and figuring things out can be intimidating, especially for people who are new to programming or do not know everything the documentation expects them to know. We have written these tutorials precisely to help ease that transition and provide insight on code quality and workspace management. We cover various topics such as V5 Programming Software Comparison PROS Setup Introduction to PROS What are externs? Sharing functions and variables between files What is a compiler and linker? Introduction to GitHub PID Tutorial We will keep adding and improving tutorials throughout the year to help the community and become the go-to destination for V5 programming tutorials.
