5. Galen VEX Robotics

We are a new VIQC team from Wangaratta, Victoria. Our group has two Year 8s and two Year 9s. Before joining the VEX program at our school, all of us combined had little knowledge about robots but we quickly learned by listening to other teams, our mentors and teachers. Our official name is Galen VEX IQ 2 but our team name is also 75% because 75% of the team are girls. Our robot's name is Pluto. Our team won the Australian Nationals Excellence Award and are first in robot skills for Australia, which earned us a spot to the World Championships, which are in Kentucky, USA, in April 2019.  We have created a website for our Galen VEX Robotics Program.
